Has anyone ever made requests to any TV networks asking if certain shows or movies you'd like to see would ever be added to the schedule? I'm asking because I have requests for TV shows I'd like to see on MeTV some time soon. I feel that channel could use some new additions, since no new shows have been added to the regular schedule in a long time. The last new show added was "ALL IN THE FAMILY", and that was over a year ago. Mind you, I'm not counting "THE WOODY WOODPECKER AND FRIENDS" showcase that airs on Saturday mornings, since that's just a compilation of theatrical Walter Lantz cartoons. I've made a few requests in the past to different networks, such as TCM, asking if they could play certain movies I'd like to see. Some of my requests have been fulfilled, unless TCM was already planning on airing those movies, anyway. I've often requested movies that don't air on TCM, such as those from studios outside of the network's primary catalogue. Most recently, I've requested that TCM air "GENTLEMEN MARRY BRUNETTES", since I haven't actually seen it yet, and from what I've gathered, it hasn't aired on TCM in a few years. Has anyone's requests for the addition of certain programs/movies ever been answered?

hello, I haven't made requests to TV networks, but have made a few to TCM many years back. They eventually showed most of them, maybe because as you mentioned, they were already planning on airing them?
One of my requests that don't TCM has ever aired is: "Men In Her Life" 1941 w/ Conrad Veidt. Maybe an availability issue? But along with this film, have noticed the 1955 film you mentioned are on Youtube.
Thanks for your post, interesting subject.

These days it is fruitful (sometimes) to just seek them out. Check Prime Video for rent or buy. Check eBay for purchase. Scan streaming inventories. Visit local libraries for check out. Making requests to TV stations is much too long a shot in the proverbial dark. But good luck.

I actually intend on making multiple requests to MeTV to air certain classic TV shows (more sitcoms, classic children's shows, and variety shows) not just for my sake, but for other folks, as well. I have family and friends who often complain that there really isn't enough good classic programs on these days. We really need to see these programs being broadcast on television again, so new generations could enjoy such shows, and those who had grown up with certain programs could receive some form of nostalgic entertainment. Since MeTV is considered to be America's #1 classic television network, I think this channel more than any other should accept my requests.
