Gale Page's voice reminds me of Margaret Lindsay.
That's a good call. Page's voice has Lindsay's "huskiness" and, pretty much, her precise diction. Lindsay manages to bring a bit more finishing-school vibe to hers, but they definitely sound like sisters.

Was Hurst inspired by Alcott?

That's a longer than normal trailer. Yes, most classic film trailers are usually two to three minutes. Not as long as an elephant's pregnancy.

The Continuing Adventures of Fawn and Me
Me: "I don't think so. I believe we polished the last of it off on our Friday-night kitchen raid."
Fawn: "All the Easter candy, even the little foil-wrapped chocolate eggs?"
Me: "Yes, because I remember somebody pestering me to unwrap them for him."
Fawn: "You know it's not my fault, I'd like to have opposable thumbs."
Me: "I understand, buddy, it's just you didn't have to keep tapping me on the shoulder every ten seconds asking if I had unwrapped another one. You know that foil clings to the eggs like it was glued on."
Fawn: "Sure, sure, what about the Sour Patch gummy bunnies - any of those left?"
Me: "Gone."
Fawn: "The Reese's Eggs?"
Me: "Gone."
Fawn: "Peeps?"
Me: "Gone."
Fawn: "The Cadbury Eggs?"
Me: "Come on, you know they didn't even make it to Easter. They never do."
Fawn: "We need more of those next year."
Me: "Yes, that's what you and I need, more Easter candy next year."
Fawn: "We set with candy for the movie today?"
Me: "Sno-Caps ready to go."
Fawn: "Sno-Caps should make a Sno-Cap Easter Egg."
Me: "That's a ridicu, hmmm, that's not a bad idea."
Fawn: "Maybe we could sell the concept to Sno-Cap."
Me: "Sure, we are going to sell an Easter Egg shaped candy as our own idea."
Fawn: "Fair point. Let's watch the movie. Please pass Bunny [the new adorable stuffed bunny I bought Fawn for Easter) over to me."
Me: [with false surprise] "Oh, was I snuggling him? I didn't even know."
- A minute goes by -
Fawn: "Can I have Bunny?"
Me: "Oh, did I not give him to you already? Here he is." Fawn: "You can let go now, I got him."

LOL Fawn! Now I may have to get my ancient teddy bear for snuggling purposes.
Hope everybody's here! I'm looking forward to this one.

Hope everybody's here! I'm looking forward to this one. I'm excited, too. I've seen it and it's fun. I think we are going to enjoy chatting about it. The acting talent and directing talent and writing talent are all impressive in this one.

Fawn et al, I understand from a very reliable source bunnies are 75% off, while supplies last.
Here with bells on - just waiting for my mini quiche from the snack bar! Very odd but all they had available.

Michael Curtiz's first choice for the role of Mickey was Burgess Meredith, who was unavailable.

Young Burgess Meredith is pretty loveable but I'm glad he wasn't available.
High hosey, Galaticgirrrl! (Fading fast is going to be sorry he started us with that. I love it!
