I just have a brief and important question to ask. Which PBS affiliate is in charge of the other stations throughout the region? I want to know because I intend on making a request to that "superior" station regarding programming real soon. Thanks in advance.

Thank you, TopBilled! I was mistakenly informed that it was in either Maryland or else in Boston; especially since the latter's affiliate, WGBH, has produced so many different programs (MASTERPIECE THEATRE, THIS OLD HOUSE, ARTHUR, etc.)

TopBilled - It would also make sense if WGBH was the first established PBS affiliate, especially on account of the fact their call number is "2". I believe that station also produced "WHERE IN THE WORLD IS CARMEN SANDIEGO" (along with WQED in Pittsburgh, which also produced "MISTER ROGERS NEIGHBORHOOD"). "CARMEN SANDIEGO" was such a great show! It taught geography in a very fun and exciting game show format, and was also SO funny. - This was MY show back in the days, along with "SQUARE ONE TV". Greg Lee was such a riot most of the time and brought on such energy and enthusiasm to the show. So was Lynne Thygpen as the the chief of ACME Crimenet, likewise the guys from Rockapella (especially when they would show up as different informant characters). Attachments:

"WHERE IN THE WORLD IS CARMEN SANDIEGO" ... was such a great show! It taught geography in a very fun and exciting game show format, and was also SO funny. It was a TV show? I only knew it as a fun computer game. 🤣Oh, sure! It ran from 1991-1996 on PBS. It was a really fun program formatted like a game show. The man on the left with the blue jacket, Greg Lee, was the host and also was "in charge of training new recruits". He would ask the three young contestants, otherwise known as "gumshoes" questions about geography in order to track down one of Carmen Sandiego's crooks and the stolen "loot". The black woman, Lynne Thygpen, who's appeared in various Broadway musicals (I just her this past Easter Sunday on TCM in the movie version of "GODSPELL") was the Chief of ACME Crimenet. Those four men surrounding Lee and Thygpen are the talented performers of the acapella (vocal sounds in place of music) house band known as "Rockapella". They would often show up during the game as some wacky characters or else performing a song as a way of giving clues regarding the crook of the program. One of the BEST things that came from this show is the original theme song performed by Rockapella. Definitely one of the greatest TV show theme songs of ALL time!
