She just wants to have a good life with her husband.
Boy she sure looks glamorous for someone so ill. I should be so lucky.

She was born 28 August 1895 in Glenlohane, Kanturk, County Cork, Ireland

"Christine, it looks lovely."
"It should, I worked hard enough at it."
She's such a pip.

Great tracking zoom to close-up on Stanwyck as the realization hits her. I was just wondering how she didn't faint. And that cocophany of bells.

At that point, she's remembering that dash she made in the rain....and wishing she'd kept running.

She picked up the phone and said, "Hello?"
I sort of expected her to say, "Sorry, Wrong Number."

Blackmailer’s demise
The scene between Blagdon and Bogie doesn't work as Bogie could easily show the Blagdon knew well before now ("I just discovered the signature books" is a weak comeback). Yes, Bogie goes down for murder, but Blagdon would go down for blackmail. Neither one can pull the trigger without bringing themselves down. The blackmail lever Blagdon had is really done at this point, so this added murder feels forced to me.

Bea didn’t know her father was capable of painting such things.
