Their love story is so interesting. Devlin is trying his best to be all business, and he is downright mean to her at times. She gets hurt, but also makes it clear that she knows he loves her. Such good acting by both of them in this.

Oh does your copy have the deleted scene?
She is in a glitter hair beret-ish for me.

"I'd feel what I always feel for you...the same hunger."
That's pretty direct, especially for 1946.

Such good acting by both of them in this. I find it utterly fascinating. His mandate must be usually to not cross the romance line. And yet from the left behind champagne bottle scene we know his romantic endeavors are not upon orders from higher up. He is a rogue agent if you'll pardon the pun.

"I'd like you to wear these."
My girlfriend would say, "I wouldn't get out of the house without somehow getting a few spots on my all-white outfit."

Is she meeting the family and friends....or is that a funeral director's convention? Yikes!

If I was spy Bergman, I'd have broken into a sweat trying to memorize those seven or so new convoluted names I'm supposed to memorize.
"Excuse me, Sir, could you repeat that very slowly, umm, you too. Oh heck, can I just write them down?"
And so ends my career as a spy.
