Jamesjazzguitar - I enjoyed seeing that "WOMEN OF WEST" theme on GRIT-TV, and I hope they continue it again in the future (even outside of March, being Women's History Month). I liked seeing somewhat "underrated" actresses such as Gail Russell and Marie Windsor being acknowledged for their work on film. I agree that Women of the West was a great theme. As for Susan, I wish they had shown the two Fox westerns she made with Tyrone Power: Rawhide (1951) and Untamed (1955). Both these films show that gritty side of Susan (but with a heart that might be buried deep but does emerge). Gritty Susan is the perfect fit for a station called Grit!

Jamesjazzguitar - Does THIS "Gritty Susan" look like the face for GRIT-TV? Yes, it's a still from "I WANT TO LIVE", but this is the Susan Hayward that comes to mind if I were to perceive her under your nickname for her. I only wish she was forming her tight-jawed scowl to emphasize fury and fierceness. Even dressed in that worn and wrinkled prison suit and with a rather unclean face, she's still undoubtedly beautiful.

Here's a good question relating to this topic of Susan Hayward. Would anyone know what parts in movies were originally offered to Susan Hayward that she had rejected? That would only be if Hayward was either uninterested in the role offered to her, or else she was in contract with another movie studio and was busy filming another movie at the time.
Can anyone else imagine another actress in that picture above from "I WANT TO LIVE" other than Susan Hayward?
