this is one of the funniest shorts about a movie and I love to watch it. It usually plays on TCM about the time they run THE DIRTY DOZEN.
Of course you have to bear in mind that I find humor in an off center place.
The narrator continuously uses the phrase "men of action." My humor is aroused because I think he should be saying action actors or something similar, because throughout this short the camera follows the actors on their day off in London, the narrator still using the phrase "men of action" as we watch them watch a motorcycle race, eat food at a restaurant, shop in the mod shops of the day and stroll, not hurry down the streets. My grandmother had more action than this. I'm sure "men of action" was used to stir interest in THE DIRTY DOZEN, but darn, couldn't they shoot a hoop or throw a cricket ball?
My apologies to those who worship THE DIRTY DOZEN. I don't disparage the film, just amuse myself watching this short.
