With both TopBilled's salute to Norma Shearer and my recognition of Susan Oliver today, I thought of the Motion Picture and Television Country House & Hospital as both Shearer and Oliver died there...
When I got the chance to visit the retirement facility, I had no sense of its history, but there was one thing it held which held my interest - the late Roddy McDowall had donated his statue from BATTLE for the PLANET of the APES for the Roddy McDowall Memorial Rose Garden on the site:
