Based on a pair of posts of yours, I Love Melvin, this borrow is for you: Thank you. The title sequence of the Bo Widerberg movie Joe Hill (1971) featured a helicopter shot circling the Statue of Liberty as Joan sang the song and it's always been one of my favorites of hers.

Mr. Postman is very triggering. I am always hoping he rings at least twice these days. My new mailman has seen Alice Cooper 5 or 6 times. I'm not sure if we counted the CNE riot or not in that tote. I was getting dizzy and in a bit of a haze after he divulged all AND reported on a Beatles LP delivery down the street.
Suffice it to say I am now like a doggie in the window, waiting for the mail to arrive, hoping for COD or registered mail so that I might sweep open my door all casual like, dolled up to the nines - trying to impress him with tired old jokes about no bills please, just cheques. So painful.
Add this one to a list of missing art pieces for which I would commit hara-kiri, or is it Harry Carey....none the less....I am in need of the 1968 demo by my fellow Canadian.
Once again in my addled condition I get weepy - such excitement about the magic of the stage. Chills.
Hello Hurray - Rolf Kempf (1993 version)

Otis Redding tells the audience that a girl took this song away from him. We love you, Otis, but....yep.
Otis Redding sings his 1965 tune, "Respect", at Monterey Pop 1967.
Aretha Franklin sings her signature song in 1967 as well.

I much prefer Dolly's original - from The Best Little Whorehouse in Texas (1982)
No "over-singing" with her.

And, lest we put Mariah on too high a pedestal, we need to remember she also has this inexplicable career move on her resume. The internet is forever, Mimi. You've done more damage than you know.AKA The Danger of the Double Negative (alternate title: Two wrongs do make a right) Butter Eyes + Hallmark = I HEART MIMI. Granted I was on thin ice once I learned (on Mimi's page?) that Leontyne Price thought she was a voice for the ages: Mariah thrilled that opera diva Price knows who she is. Oh dear. I guess that's the same thing. Shall we tackle Jenny from the Block next? You know she has admitted paying for her latest art escapades AND has named names on who declined cameos. Now a number of concert dates cancelled. My heart is in danger of growing three sizes. Hoping I don't get a thumbs down and get sent to the lions on this one. Treading gingerly into Judy territory. I think Dame Shirley sells it though. I'm buying at least. Shirley Bassey “Johnny One Note” 1973 [HD 1080-Remastered TV Audio]

The Wonder of You is a song written by Baker Knight. It was originally recorded by Vince Edwards in 1958, but this recording has never been released.
He asked me if I would mind if he recorded 'The Wonder of You.' I said, 'You don't have to ask permission; you're Elvis Presley.' He said, 'Yes, I do. You're Ray Peterson.'

Counting down the days and minutes until TLDP's arrival in my fair city this weekend. With so many worrying articles about the death of live music and pleas from musicians for help to fix a broken system, the playbook The Last Dinner Party is using seems to be working so far. The band submitted a 70 page document of their dreams and aspirations to Island Records. The original manifesto was much shorter: The Last Dinner Party — Army Dreamers (Kate Bush cover) | Studio Brussel
