Posted with galacticgirrrl in mind... Marijke Koger and Simon Posthuma, collectively known as The Fool, designed a "psychedelic fantasy" for Ginger Baker, Jack Bruce and Eric Clapton, collectively known as The Cream: "The Fool" guitar has such a rich history when it comes to its past owners: After Midnight came George Harrison, then Jackie Lomax who passed it on to Todd Rundgren, who coveted it but eventually auctioned it off. It now is said to reside in the Jim Irsay collection. (Did I get the order and owners correct, galacticgirrrl??) "The Fool" guitar relates to Eric Clapton's "woman tone", and I'm going with the following as, hopefully, an example of the "woman tone" and for its spotlighting of Ginger Baker's rolling attention to the toms and Jack Bruce's singing as well:

So interesting. I had no idea it was sold recently and was touring. Sorry, not just sold but set auction record of $1.27 million. I also didn't know Fender was flogging selling a George Harrison Rocky Strat. SOLD OUT you say? Oh oh. The merch table seems bottomless these days, does it not? You could barely get a t-shirt or button in days of future passed and now I get daily emails of drool worthy items that leave me cold and broke. I did have a great idea after watching Willie Nelson's birthday celebration recently: stickers that replicate Trigger's growing hole and beloved decrepitude. For the home-schooled guitar novice.... You know how people are forking out for brand new faux shredded guitars - well this would be a quick $20 sticker you could put on & peel off as required - giving the same pro player effect at a fraction of the cost. Goodness, if this isn't as good an idea as Mr. Microphone I don't know what is! Mr. Microphone By Ronco (Commercial, 1978)
