Great to watch for all the stars you see-Mike Connors, Paul Fix, Bette Davis playing attorneys, a cast of hundreds of actors you know appearing. I'm no detective therefore I spend the entire show changing my mind about "who dunnit"
Poor James Coburn. In one episode he is a despicable publisher who gets killed and in "the Angry Astronaut" he is a despicable general who gets killed.
I think PERRY MASON endured for a long time because great character actors were in the cast week after week. Stories may be lame today, but I watch to see soon to be stars, stars on the wan and all those great character actors.

After watching "The Case of the Angry Astronaut" I ran some errands. Turned tv on to see Burt Reynolds in "The Case of the Counterfeit Crank" Did everybody eventually do a PERRY MASON? Also in this episode was Otto Krueger great as despicable or benevolent or somewhat befuddled characters; the often seen on tv John Larkin always capable in any role, best at flamboyant ones; and the fabulous Jeanette Nolan-was she ever bad even in bad movies or tv shows?

The Case of the Treacherous Toupee from September 1960 has a young Robert Redford playing the son who marries the wrong woman.
Love watching Perry Mason. Each show usually has a cast member I recognize from some classic film. I think by this time in television history many of those stars were moving more toward TV shows. I think there was more exposure for them and interesting parts as television seemed to keep up with the times and what the audience wanted.
