Fifty years ago on this day the following album is said to have been released: I got the 1974 standout about three months later at a record store in the Sherman Oaks Shopping Center which is seen here with the canyons of Joni Mitchell to its south: That made two of my favorite albums to come from the Laurel Canyon scene... The first included a composite of three women - including Joni Mitchell - with David Crosby and Graham Nash, who contributed backing vocals on the above track, sharing lead:

I've always dreamed of being a lady of the canyon. Unfortunately the statute of limitations may keep me from coloring the sunshine hours in that state.
I always hoped to bump into Joni's daughter at the old Ormsby Schoolhouse tea room. Her ancestors settled in The Ridge back in the 1860s so she dropped in there to talk to the owner/musician Ernie Pattison often. I think he even mailed Joni a pie if I recall correctly.

This year's Grammy's actually gave me nightmares.
This part was lovely though and most certainly not the cause of night visions.
