"I must go up and speak to her. She still has an immortal soul."
And a hot looking body, right?

Mrs. Davidson is bearing false witness against Sadie. There were no screaming insults. I think Mrs. D needs to review the commandments.

I thought it quite interesting he said he didn't notice her on the schooner.
I sure noticed her jewellery.

I hate the way he questions her as if it's any of his business at all.

I sure noticed her jewellery. Yes...I don't quite believe he didn't notice her on the ship.

Huston has popped up a bunch on Sunday Live! He played a similar character in "Dragonwyck," less severe, but similar. And he was much nicer in "Dodsworth." He is mesmerizing in this one.

Despite all her troubles, she is managing to find a nice guy.
When Crawford arrived for location shooting on Catalina Island, however, she quickly regretted her decision. The cast, many of whom were Broadway veterans, seemed to be looking down their nose at her. William Gargan, who played her romantic interest, admitted that he had never seen any of her movies
I don't know that I ever believe actors that say things like that - or that they never watch TV even though it is their bread & butter
