While watching WHITE CHRISTMAS, I remembered the bombshell Bing delivered in a tv interview: if daughter Kathy became pregnant while unmarried he would disown her and turn her out of the home.
When he died, some fans were stunned that in his will, none of his children would receive anything until the age of 65. He certainly was entitled to leave his money where ever he wanted, but it did appear he disliked his children. I'm lousy at research and only found references to the above fact, not if any of his children have inherited. Phil died before age 65 and I believe one of the twins died before 65. Does anyone know if any of the children did receive an inheritance? It's been many years since I've seen news about any of the children.

Crosby was a very strict father. He believed it was the right thing to be.
In today's world he'd probably be charged with something.
Or, at the least, "cancelled".

Probably. But even in the late 70s when the interview occurred, that he would turn her out completely was shocking. That an unmarried pregnant girl would face severe consequences was expected. Even conservatives were surprised.
For Bing to be cancelled would be horrible. I don't agree with his severity of private life, but he has provided great entertainment. And he could act: have you seen THE COUNTRY GIRL? Wow, what a performance!

My girlfriend's father was the same way. He'd have thrown her out, no question.
He'd say if she's mature enough to spread her legs for a guy - and while not even being married - she's mature enough to take care of herself.
