following paramount's own crippling of star trek by kicking out bill shatner as kirk with the horrid and unwatchable Generations in 1994 here's what those chowderheads at paramount should have given first generation fandom. a movie dedicated to the resurrection of Jim Kirk....and it coulda been so easily done. here's my script. a couple of years after Kirk's death on varidian 3 a fully physically resurrected Kirk is found to be alive under those rocks that picard and paramount piled on top of him in generations. spock determines that the regeneration was brought about by residual nexus energy in kirk's corpse. he is alive...but he is in an unshakeable comatose state his mind dormant. the comatose kirk keeps repeating one word...Edith. spock determines that he can bring kirk to consciousness with a mind meld...but he needs the mental thought impulses of edith keeler to touch and awaken kirk's mind. there is only one thing to do for spock, mccoy and scott. they travel to the time planet and prevail upon the Guardian to send spock and mccoy back to the earth year 1930 where spock hopes to use a nexus energy device to bring edith keeler back to life after they remove her body from her grave. here is the scene. an awakening edith keeler finds herself in sickbay surrounded by mccoy, spock and nurse chapel. the impossible is explained to her which she can comprehend because of her extraordinary gifted insight. and so will begin the most extraordinary finale to a timeless love story.

I like it and City on the Edge of Forever is my favorite episode. If you don't write yourself, you might want to bring this idea to someone who does. I think it's a pretty darn good story idea.

I don't know about Paramount being astounded, but it's a grand idea. Some Dark Shadows cast members made audio CDs and they're actually pretty good. Maybe they could do what they did in an episode of Deep Space 9 and take some video from the old show and mix it with new stuff. I suppose the cost would be phenomenal, but it's certainly doable.

I downloaded the Dark Shadows audio CD with Jonathan Frid and John Karlen and hated it. Barnabas and Willie waxing nostalgic at the old house? gimme a break. although I am gratified that Jonathan was willing to do it. Jonathan Frid always appreciated his dark shadows fans. a good guy. a better idea would have been a Barnabas-Angelique audio CD with Jonathan and Lara Parker.
