This year's memorial tribute featured 96 men and women in just under 5 minutes! As usual, a terrific job done by the production staff used by TCM. First honoree was Alan Arkin. The last person shown this year is Harry Bellafonte. The song used is a rendition of Tom Petty & the Heartbreakers' "Learning To Fly". I think the 96 people featured is the most TCM has shown since it began doing these annual remembrances.

I just saw the montage. I was surprised by some of the deaths-I don't watch entertainment news often, so missed the obituaries. Besides the great choice of music, I wondered who the acrobat is featured throughout the montage.

TCM Remembers 2023 is presented with such style, class, respect and beauty!!! I love watching it! I've even enjoyed it a couple times on YouTube. Most of the honorees I knew had passed, but there were a couple that I didn't and it was so informative. I can't say enough about the TCM editing people who put this together.
All of these outstanding people in the entertainment industry that the world has lost this year have left our lives richer and fuller for being here with us. Someone once said, to truly honor someone is to remember them. That is so true! That's why I think TCM and other avenues like them are so important! These great talents need to be remembered and shared over and over again!
Happy Holidays and Happy New Year to everyone!

I'm always taken aback at the passings I missed.
I had no idea Frances Sternhagen and Marisa Pavan and Carlin Glynn were gone.
I guess I need to follow the obituary thread more closely, or I gasp with surprise each December.
