Poor Bill. He died in action at Salerno.
That photo of him in uniform looked so real I had to check his bio for military service but I don't see any. Kudos to the props department if that is a fake. Yeah, it was very authentic looking.

The troubled ex-soldier is played by a young Craig Stevens, borrowed from Warner Brothers.
My guess is that he will become Jane's husband, it does seem to be foreshadowed as such.

That seems advanced to be dealing with PTSD and not simply shaming a man for having problems after fighting. Another aspect of the movie I overlooked the first time around.

I watched something recently that described Agatha Christie's time as one during WWI. It was really interesting.

Nazimova does a great job with limited screen time. She really captures the character she's playing so perfectly.
From the Facebook page of the Alla Nazimova Society:
Producer David O. Selznick cast her for sentimental reasons. His father, Lewis Selznick, gave Alla her first movie role, in "War Brides" (1916).

So many of us look to the US for what it has done on the immigration front, the great experiment of the melting pot
