Didn't take her too long to get over Uncle Tony.
I am kind of surprised how opposed her mother is to her serving the war in some capacity. She sure looked cute in Bill's hat. Anne reverses herself and does allow Jane to take a job helping. It becomes an important plot point. Ah yes. Here it is now.
I thought I had seen this movie not that long ago but it must be longer than I think. My memory is terrible.

The scenes of Jane at work helping the men with their rehab adds a strong sense of realism to the film's main story.

Probably if those scenes had been included in a 1942 motion picture, right after the U.S. became involved in the war effort, there would have been pushback.

Such nice music playing during the intermission (entr'acte)...Max Steiner's score for the film earned an Oscar.

Lionel Barrymore, who plays the clergyman, only has 90 seconds of screen time in the film. He was given fifth place in the billing.

I suspect that some of Barrymore's scenes were cut.

Bad lady! LOL Right - but taking in a boarder is shameful. Too ridiculous.
