Both JOHN WAYNE and HENRY FONDA each did an episode of MAUDE in the '70's.

Franchot Tone plays a conman passing himself as a preacher in a 1962 episode of Wagon Train called 'The Malachi Hobart Story.' Great acting by Mr. Tone.

Just this morning I saw Greer Garson portraying herself on "Father Knows Best", Antenna TV.
I had never seen this episode and was impressed by her humor. And she looked fabulous...I guess she was early 50s at the time.

She appeared in the final season of The Virginian which was re-titled as Men from Shiloh. In that one she plays a crafty lady attorney who helps Trampas (Doug McClure) avoid prison on a murder charge.

He's driving through Springfield when he is not by another car. The driver is a client of Jim's.

Beulah Bondi concluded her distinguished career with two appearances on The Waltons. She won an Emmy Award for one of them. I think the most moving moment I've ever seen on an award show was when Ms. Bondi won that Emmy, at the age of 88.

Donald O'Connor was fairly active in the late 70's/early 80's, and even showed up as a suspect on 1975's Ellery Queen. ("The Case of the Comic-Book Crusader") Lucy often had her Hollywood friends appear on her various shows. Here's a scene with Tallulah Bankhead.

If Youtube has the full episode, watch it. This was one of the best episodes-love Tallulah.
