"Show his eyes, and grieve his heart..." What would become my favorite Stephen King movie is said to have been released on this day forty years ago: The 1983 movie includes support from Anthony Zerbe who was also seen onstage at about the same time in the title role of a Macbeth production at the Old Globe in San Diego... The novelty of seeing Anthony "Brother Matthias" Zerbe notwithstanding, I would've preferred to have seen an outsized outdoor rendering of it than the minimalist take it was stingily given.

[Dead Zone] What would become my favorite Stephen King movie Mine too. Saw it 2 or 3 times before I knew it was by King. Started me on a journey of reading many of his books even though I'm not much into the horror genre. Very uneven quality author IMO.

I'm glad you commented, dianedebuda, as I knew the DEAD ZONE is among your favorites. (Your Halloween list had me thinking that I'd definitely watch an evening of film programmed by you.)

I'd forgotten all about the list. Been really busy & don't get much of a chance to read much more than a few threads in the General category these days. Funny that I'd wrote seing Dead Zone 4 or 5 times then and this time it was 2 or 3 times. 😆

I've been wondering why you haven't been posting much lately. The pros and cons of being really busy can be a topic of thoughtful reflection in one's advancing years.

if stephen king had any ballz he woulda insisted on the creature from the black lagoon being in the miniseries IT. the gill man's appearance in his novel is chilling. it took me over three weeks to read that overlong paperback.

Had a 2-story house addition wing framed something like 20 years ago. Would get started on the wiring & plumbing and something always interrupted - usually medical/family issues. So at it again as a solo effort. As far as advancing years, on another forum I have been bestowed the title of QOC (Queen of Coots) since I'm already in my mid-70s. I don't have time to reflect, thoughtful or otherwise.
