"Dad, I'm going to spend two years in Russia studying its economy after I get out of college." "One, you're an idiot and, two, how do I get a refund on your tuition as that college, obviously, made you stupider than when you went in?" "Dad!" "And I want a refund for all four years!"

Russia...some early American movie communism, ten years before the Hollywood blacklist started.

How innocent cool are separate train cars for men and women?

At age thirty, Lew Ayres is a tad too old for this role.

Rosalind Russell: "A thinker at Harvard?"
Perfect delivery.

How freakin' adorable is O'Sullivan's innocence in the train scene with Russell. "If he can, then he will." (Or something like that.)

Rosalind Russell? I thought that was Ruth Hussey.

Russia...some early American movie communism, ten years before the Hollywood blacklist started. Even so, I'll bet it was toned down from the play by the Code before it hit the screen.

I love O'Sullivan's big initials on her sweater. It was such a thirties - fifties thing.

If this had been made a year later, it would have had Lana Turner as one of the girls...and Felix Bressart would've been the professor.

Burgess Meredith makes all his scenes so real. Yes, he's the best actor in the group.

This film has a weak plot. It's charming, but not very consequential.
it easily could have been done as a radio program. It lacks a cinematic feel.
