Honorable mention -- the movie THE PASSWORD IS COURAGE (1962) is based on a true story of a POW camp escapee Charles Coward. The movie doesn't cover it, but in real life he snuck INTO a concentration camp, then escaped from it, and later was able to testify about their conditions.
