the three gems are the Vampire and the Ballerina, the Playgirls and the Vampire and Slaughter of the Vampires. how many of us enjoyed these growing up? I did not ever see the vampire and the ballerina until I saw it on TNT. all three of these movies star Walter Brandi a guy named after a liquor. ha ha. I find vampire and the ballerina somewhat convoluted in the storytelling. a mysterious beauty lives with her servant who is prone to turn into an aged vampire often. she is one also but sans the aging effect. they live in a secluded medieval tower in the countryside drawing young women occassionally into their clutches. both she and her servant turn to dust on the tower battlement. the 2nd feature is an adolescent favorite to many. it's got the stuff...beautiful buxom italian babes. bad weather and the showgirls their manager and piano player wind up as guests of Count Gabor Kernassy and his chunky blonde maid at kernassy castle. the problem. Gabor's 200 year old lookalike ancestor who is a vampire and who Gabor hopes to find a medical cure for. until then his ancestor hasn't quite given up on vampirizing maidens. there is pretty but quiet vera who attracts Gabor but the real hoddie is Katia who is obsessed with her own gorgeous legs. Katia's hairdo is like emma peel's on the avengers. she is vamped and ostensibly falls to her death out a castle door to the grass below. their manager a bald moneygrubbing jerk gets a nighttime visit from the lovely vampiress katia who is topless and naked but somehow blows her chance. she then starts henpecking Gabor's vampire relative to only have eyes for her but he has eyes for vera too. at the end before the big fight between Gabor and his vampire kin katia threatens vera her former showgirl colleague but the vampire has enough and impales her with the point of a torch. some gore with you know what running down one of katia's beautiful vampiress legs. that tears it! Gabor fights to the death with his own vampire ancestor and shoves him onto the waiting lance of a kernassy coat of arms. the vampire fluctuates and evaporates into nothingness. the third features sports the queen of all big busomed italian vampire babes. the amply endowed Graziella Granata. Wolfgang (his name in the english dubbing sounds like 'vulcan') and his new bride Louisa have just finished renovating an old austrian villa when a vampire who has the same coat of arms on his casket that is in the renovated villa shows up. he proceeds to woo Louisa who eventually succumbs and then starts chomping on housemaid corinne played by attractive Gemma Gimmy. (her hairdo is like princess leia's in the first star wars movie) Wolfgang finishes him off with a metal fence grating to the chest and he turns into a skeleton. this third movie is the most stylish and all three feature the splendid music of one Aldo Piga. his music to this third film is genuinely haunting.
