"Like all the other London punks, I wanted to do reggae, and I wrote "Private Life"." - Chrissie Hynde
The Police even gave the genre, a favorite of mine, its stylized brand name - said to have been released 45 years ago on this day:

I Love Melvin, it's interesting to note that Bryan Ferry and Robert Palmer comparisons are not limited to their sartorial look. There's soulful singing, and the model here looks like she just came from a Roxy Music cover shoot.

I believe Ms. H pals around with Stevie, who incidentally returns for her first SNL gig since 1983 this Saturday. She is on deck with the donut licker. Not sure if I am hoping for a duet or not. If it goes the way of The Tay Tay incident, then no thanks. A little bit of reggae came my way thanks to Gordon Sumner and the boys. Wish Toots & the Maytals had been on the bill. Both you, NoShear, and galacticgirrrl have been "vibing" on Sting and there's a new 80's thread, so now I don't know where to put this damn thing, but ultimately I think it should go here. I had the 12" remix, that alternate income stream for record companies during the 1980's.

so now I don't know where to put this damn thing ROTFL! Nice one. My bed is certainly too big without him any which way you slice it. Now for our listening pleasure, another Treasure from the Sierra Madre. Certified 100% fresh by his highness Robert Plant. Does it get much more rock reggae than this I ask you? Judges? Is this a mic drop or what? Dread Zeppelin - Immigrant Song

Mine, not nearly as spectacular as the following studio set but a rather poor man's facsimile - Roger Daltrey singing to a crowd of one or two GI jOE survivors:

Apologies if I be repeating myself but: no posters graced my walls whilst at home. Perhaps holes in the wall were banned or perhaps the horrific sunsetting of Aquarius personally selected wallpaper was far too busy. I would however KILL to see it again.
