Some of the oddest, though most fascinating, comedy recordings were Kermit Schafer's "Pardon My Blooper" series, culled from mistakes and malapropisms from live radio and TV, but introduced in a dour, anti-comedic style which single-handedly drained some of the humorous impact. They were really popular, though, and there were a zillion follow-ups to the original and also a bunch of imitators.

Dance lightly about looking everywhere for your balls - priceless. I feel for the work Schafer had in compiling these clips. Now all so simple with today's technology. Am I the only one to suspect a few writer set-ups, sneaking script items past censors? All the more brilliant if that is the case.
These two songs I had totally forgotten about. Very odd where they appeared - on CFNY, a cutting edge alternative music radio station. So Sex Pistols, Mike Oldfield, The Specials....and then these!? Might not hold up that well today but I loved my little trip down memory lane.
Streetband - Toast
The Extras - Circular Impression - 1981
