This sounds like a Republican speech meant to spin a situation in favor of their candidate...when the reality is probably very sad, that he's not a very good person and these Republicans are in denial over the fact they are backing a despicable human being. I still cannot believe people would willingly choose such a person as a hero. It's shocking to see free men and women in a free country...choosing him? It defies most conceptions of common sense. In no way am I trying to defend the MAGA POV, but my understanding is that most MAGA people have convinced themselves that Trump is just joking. E.g. in the Hollywood access video when he said he could grab them by the 'p': he didn't mean this literally. Then there are those MAGA folks that believe the Me-Too movement is made-up BS and\or that women actually deserve to be treated in such a manner. The old "when they say NO they really mean YES". Thus, the civil verdict in the Carroll case is just more made-up BS and\or if something did happen, Ms. Carroll was a willing participant. Lastly there are the MAGA folks (mostly evangelicals) where ending abortion-on-demand is the end-all of all end-alls. They would vote for Satin if he would put an end abortion. Trump did give them the overturning of Roe-V-Wade. I.e. all 3 of the above are just part of core MAGA common sense (from their perspective). Thanks James. It was a Days of Our Lives actress, Ari Zucker, who was the target of Trump's unsolicited comments that you referenced. Her situation with Trump was re-described in detail in a new article published today (because Zucker is suing the producers of Days of Our Lives):Zucker, 49, found herself unwittingly in the political spotlight seven years ago when the 2005 recording of Donald Trump speaking with former Access Hollywood host Billy Bush leaked to the Washington Post. In the recording, Trump made his highly vulger and offensive comments after catching a glimpse of Zucker while sitting on a bus, awaiting a cameo appearance on Days of Our Lives. In the recording that became a flashpoint in the 2016 presidential race, Bush pointed out Zucker as the one in purple who was set to escort Trump to the set. “Your girl’s hot as shit,” Bush is heard saying, to which Trump replies, “Whoa!”
“I better use some Tic Tacs, just in case I start kissing her,” Trump continues. “You know, I’m automatically attracted to beautiful — I just start kissing them. It’s like a magnet. Just kiss. I don’t even wait. And when you’re a star, they let you do it. You can do anything… Grab ‘em by the pussy. You can do anything.”

It's shocking to see free men and women in a free country...choosing him? It defies most conceptions of common sense. Not shocking to me one bit. There is absolutely zero common sense in voting for Democrats.
President Trump is not a career politician - he's an America-first Patriot with a very high intelligence quotient and a first-rate sense of human morality.
In my opinion, people incapable of recognizing these qualities are too ideologically blindfolded to be in touch with common sense.
However, each to their own. We are all permitted to see what we see and vote how we vote. I am glad you are explaining why you idolize a vile man, because it helps others to understand where that sort of misguided belief system takes root.
Some of the business I conduct each week puts me in contact with new people for donations, since I work for a charity. And I can always tell when I am speaking with a Republican. The challenge for me, is not to psychologically scorn them, because I honestly believe in this life, we all need to work together. But I do have less patience for the dumbness of others as I get older, and I do think there is a huge amount of stupidity occurring in the Republic party these days. I have to ensure I remain kind, but I definitely do not have to pretend to agree with political viewpoints I consider lacking in intelligence.

I believe charity is better than government deciding. Take the movie Seven Brides for Seven Brothers and Our Vines have tender Grapes. They had a barn raising and in the latter the people donated animal to the one who had a fire. Look at how many lawsuits about the misuse of Covid money. When I was in school over 40 years ago , I got a lunch ticket for 10 cents but a neighbor got it free because when they filled out the form the mother-in-law was visiting so they included her in the household.

I think the ballot should be like in Nevada. None of the above. How many voted for Biden because he wasn't Trump? Biden thought he was popular because of all the votes he got. First off, that year it was a record turnout because of how easy it was to vote. That way they'd know the truth where they stand with the public. I guess we need a figurehead.

Biden isn't being charged with having classified documents as a private citizen. The guy in charge of the investigation said Biden would claim he was elderly and forgetful. Biden messed up the name of the leader of Germany. Either way should this guy be running the country? He either willfully has classified documents unsecured as a private citizen or he's mentally deficient.

At least this time it will be a fairer fight. I think the immigrant will hurt the democrats in the long run. Many are escaping from regimes and knowing the laptop was suppressed. Everything that Trump is accused of true or false is front and center, but the democrats knowing the F.B.I. had the laptop and believed it to be genuine got 50 spy experts to say it was Russian disinformation . After Biden claimed Hur was wrong about his memory within minutes mixed up 2 more leaders names. I don't think it's right somebody stole Ashley Biden's diary but I'm worried about what she wrote about taking showers with her dad. Nobody's denying it's her diary only that it was stolen. I searched it. Somebody posted the pages on Bing.

This reminds me of a conversation I had at work before Christmas. I had heard about a local program asking for volunteers who would be part of a searchable database to shovel snow for people (free of charge) who need help during the winter. I was telling a co-worker that I was thinking of volunteering. His response? He angrily informed me that there are NO people who own a house who couldn't pay a person to shovel snow. I brought up older or disabled people but apparently those people don't need help, according to my fuming co-worker. It just perfectly and sadly encapsulates how divided we are. I was really baffled at how angry this program made him.

Look at how many lawsuits about the misuse of Covid money. When I was in school over 40 years ago , I got a lunch ticket for 10 cents but a neighbor got it free because when they filled out the form the mother-in-law was visiting so they included her in the household. We have certain talking points we use when contacting prospective donors. I know that the conservatives typically don't want to help others who do not share their views...so I have to manipulate them a little, to make it seem like their donation will help THEIR community, instead of the community at large. They don't want to help everyone. They seem to have a narrow minded view of what America is. But we can also "use" their Christianity against them, to get them to do a Christian deed that really will not just help them but help others too.
So while I agree with you that charity is better than government, we have to control how their charity is donated, or else they will let others starve and die. That's the hard reality.
As you can see reading this, I had to spin (not twist) your definition of charity to illuminate a few points, so you can hopefully begin to glimpse the broader picture.

and "vile" is your observation - thankfully one of the minority going forward. I am going to ask that you start using RITE values as we go forward. Your comment above seems to demean a point of view you don't agree with by giving it a negative connotation and an ugly definition of what the word minority means. If you do that again, I will have to edit or delete the post.
We use RITE values where I work, and I feel it's a good idea to implement it here, without being preachy about it.
The R in RITE stands for Respect. Respect a fellow poster's difference. The I stands for Integrity (we can certainly craft our responses with integrity). The T stands for Teamwork, since we are all in this together and there is no need to be so divisive. And the E stands for Excellence. We want a more excellent form of communication here. Thank you.

I was really baffled at how angry this program made him. Good points. Some are on fixed incomes. Some are in danger of losing those homes back to the bank. Just because someone is in a house today doesn't mean they can't be out on the street tomorrow, or forced to sell and move in with a relative! Plus, wouldn't you want to help someone out of the kindness of your heart and build a better sense of community, regardless of a person's so-called financial worth...? Priorities, people!
