Ziegfeld Girl (1941) Not clear as to whether or not Lana Turner dies. Apparently the original ending had her dying, but that didn't go over with audiences at preview screenings. So the powers that be altered the ending, deliberately making it ambiguous as to what happens when the camera leaves the scene.
