While there's some anti-twin bed ethos shock at play for that time, I think the wanton woman was partly just propaganda hype: Jerry's a deeply wounded woman from almost the get-go with very little pre-Code morality to her makeup.

Fabulous movie choice Fading Fast!
I don't care that it wasn't terribly pre-codish, I loved the happy ending. The two big dramatic scenes between the two leads were just great.
So much fun having this many people watching!
