NoShear - simply fab gear. I don't know how on earth I missed out on GI Joe in space - probably a good thing - I would have suffered irreparable space capsule envy. Apparently I've come a long way baby - geez even I crack up when she hits the disco dance floor after a hard day in space. Eat your heart out Roberta Bondar. 1985 Astronaut Barbie doll Commercial | Mattel Unfortunately, galacticgirrrl, you still might have experienced "...irreparable space capsule envy" even if you'd scored one as the GIjOE capsule concept eventually yielded two different cockpits - one of which can be seen in some UK television show which I can't recall the name: The other interior is seen in Eric Forman's bedroom on the bedboard - the cool glow-in-the-dark model - in That '70s Show: Though my older teenaged bedroom didn't look anywhere near as spectacular as the television show's set, you would've found various GIjOE gear which had survived childhood destruction and some outsized rock posters such as the following: Yes, galacticgirrrl, I would've cut the Paul McCartney portion out of it for you - not the Tommy guy though! Well, for you, maybe even Roger Daltrey too.

I am still experiencing. The assorted paraphernalia flittering about my childhood can't hold a cosmic candle to the capsules: Sgt. Rock, Stretch Armstrong, Batmobile, Big Jim - somehow lacking. Your poster is fabulous. More envy. I think we had a no pinhole/tape on the wall rule (not that any would have been visible atop my hideous hand selected zodiac wallpaper). Rock Super Stars II would have been safe - no Paul Simon. Sir Roger I do adore now with his three extra daughters. Sir Paul I have dealt with below. Oh My My. Oh My My. My first poster was one from the 1968 NYC Paul Ferrara series although I can't find the exact one at this juncture. You must not whip the horse's eye my friend. I need to run this contact sheet off for my current wall

And bringing it all back home again, from whence this thread cometh.....
What is good for the Grey Goose is good for the gander. I'll see your Whiskey Man and raise you one Whiskey (a Go Go) Woman. There is another video that tells the tale of her but I picked this one as I love the fact it is 2019 and given enough red stage light wash, we all age well.

That contact sheet is so you, galacticgirrrl: a pre-establishment Paul McCartney, resplendent in a Mercury spacesuit, with your stand-in - out of this world!

NoShear I still cannot put my hands on what movie I know you from
Where were you in 1967? I was thinking this Zapruder item could be it but then again maybe not
What unicorn pictures have I seen? T-Zone or Star Trek. Mind melting.

Wait a minute, galacticgirrrl, wait a minute: I need to know how I went from mauve to big boor in the proverbial blink of an eye?! Though I honestly can deny being anywhere near Bluff Creek in 1967, I do admit that I sometimes feel like these guys when exposed to offerings by you and I Love Melvin: Of Bigfoot sightings and assorted simians, I got to see the following pair on a double bill when I was a kid: Take that, Scorsese and Spielberg!!

I love Claude Adkins in Battle for the Planet of The Apes. Plays the same type of character one can find in so many 50s\60s westerns.
I knew it was him even with all the ape makeup.

Claude Akins did go off character for The TWILIGHT ZONE episode, "THE MONSTERS ARE DUE ON MAPLE STREET", but, yes, when he later appeared with Barry Atwater again - in THE NIGHT STALKER - he was his usual gruff formulaic self. In that one, Ralph Meeker, just as with PATHS of GLORY, is the one who goes against type.

Which takes us to Kolchak's girlfriend, Gail Foster, everyone's favorite casino "change girl"
Free trip for free music. They're going to a jazz festival.
I can't take this stuff. Give me a Strauss Waltz anytime.
THE MORNING AFTER CAROL LYNLEY
Funny how this montage version turns the movie into a comedy. Most perplexing and fun.
Maureen McGovern - "The Morning After" from The Poseidon Adventure 1973
